This was the best day out of the whole weekend with double headers, Mixed goods trains and the return to steam of No.8 Fenella. of ourse with four trains out delays were encountered. With small water tanks Fenella had to take on water at Ballasalla, before passing the mixed goods at Colby. The mixed goods was now carriage only (F.18 and F.49) and hauled by 13 Kissack for a Castletown return. When Kissack returned south it passed a double header of 12 Hutchinson and 4 Loch and when she got to Port Erin she was swapped on the goods by No. 8 Fenella who then ran another return trip to Castletown and later ran a full trip back to Douglas with a 30 min lay over at castletown which didn't happen due to the 35 minute delays all day. Sunday 8th April
There were workshop tours (tour guides were provided by the steam railways supporters) and with each one being full one member had to run a extra tour just for the 2 who missed out. That evening there was a photo event and barbeque but poor weather drove many attendies away early, leading to the event being cut short and locos being shunted away early which gave those remaing the opportunity was given to photograph locomotives and stock returning to shed, and then for a few photos inside the shed.
Leyland PD2 was used as a shuttle for that evenings film show, however it ran early with an extra little trip up to Port Jack for the 6 enthusiasts who braved the weather where it stopped on Onchan head (photos below) for photographic chances.
