MER 2012!!
Here we are at the start of the 2012 season and who knew what surprises were in store. Trailer 57 returning to service was one along with a appearance of Car 5!! The season got off to a good start with both winter saloons 20 and 22 on service with winter trailers 57 and 58. They worked in the following pairs:
SET 1: 22 and 57
SET 2: car 20 and 58
But the first day did not escape without problems as the third trip of the day was stranded at Ramsey after overheads fell down, meaning 20 and 58 ran to Laxey and then car 20 ran solo between Douglas and Laxey for the rest of the day.
Car 5 returns
Yes thats right, but she was not in passenger service. She ran light to Laxey to pick up trailer 58.

Goodbye 2011!
As well as the Steam Railway the Manx Electric has finished for the year and while the weather wasn't the best the MER trailers were very busy.
There were a number of events tried such as the victorian extravaganza which will be returning for 2012. The 'swinging 60's' are new for 2012 so is the winter photography.
Cars 20,21 and 22 ran the last two days of service and there was also sighting of No 34 Maria.
At the end of 2011 this is how the sheds stand:
