1894 vans 3 and 4
built in 1894 van 4 has been in regular service right up until the mid 1980s where it was stored along with van 16 at ramsey. It was then overhauled in the ramsey ship yard between 1992/93 making its debut in febuary 1993 and has remained in regular service for enthusiast events ever since. In October 2015 restoration work started on mail van 3 in the laxey goods shed by volunteers from the laxey and lonan heritage trust.
1897-98 wagons 8 and 10
Wagons 8 and 10 have both been the subject of a restoration wagon 10 was treated to a full restoration while wagon 8 had new sides and a lick of paint applied to it wagon 10 returned to service in 2014 following a three year restoration and wagon 8 returned to service in 2015 after having its new sides applied and a lick of paint over the winter of 2014/15 they made there debut running together as part of the dhoon quarry man tour in july 2015.
1898/99 vans 11 and 12
both of these vans are currently stored after being withdrawn from service. van 11 was withdrawn in 1997 after many years of use for station to station delivery's and van 12 was withdrawn at the end of 2013 after years of use with the wire crew van 12 was unique in the fact that it was a van but also had a platform on its roof for use with the wire crew it is now stored in the black smiths siding at laxey awaiting restoration. Like its fellow sister van 11 is currently undergoing restoration in the old goods shed at laxey station.

1903/04 vans 13 and 14
Built in 1903/04 these vans are basically smaller versions of vans 3 and 4 with out the platforms sadly in 2002 van 14 was transferred to the steam railway and had its body cut of for use as a flatbed which was short lived before being transferred back to the mer for off track storage at Dhoon quarry. Van 13 last ran in 1979 no 13 was then stored at derby castle before moving to homefield in 2001 before returning for off track storage at Dhoon Quarry as well.

1908 vans 15 and 16
Built in 1908 these were the largest mail vans to run on the mer sadly no 15 was lost in a freak accident at Ballaglass in 1944. Happily though van 16 remains in service today and was returned to service in July 2015 after a three year restoration by the Laxey and Lonan heritage trust.
